Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using VEVGO's platform. By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, accessing, or using any part of the VEVGO platform (including mobile applications, websites, and related services), you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree to these terms, you may not access or use our services. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and VEVGO Networks Company Ltd.
2. Services Description
VEVGO is a technology platform that connects riders with independent drivers for transportation services, and facilitates last-mile delivery services across supported cities in Africa.
- Ride-Hailing: On-demand and scheduled transportation between locations.
- Delivery Services: Parcel and package delivery between senders and recipients.
- Intercity Travel: Long-distance transportation between cities.
VEVGO acts as a marketplace and technology provider. Drivers are independent contractors, not employees of VEVGO.
3. User Accounts
To access most features of our platform, you must register for an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
- Maintain the security of your account credentials and not share them.
- Promptly update your account information if it changes.
- Accept responsibility for all activity occurring under your account.
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By registering, you represent that you meet this age requirement.
4. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to use the VEVGO platform for any of the following:
- Transporting illegal substances, weapons, or prohibited goods.
- Harassment, abuse, or threatening behavior toward drivers, riders, or VEVGO staff.
- Fraudulent activity including fake trip requests, chargebacks abuse, or identity impersonation.
- Attempting to reverse-engineer, hack, or interfere with the platform's technical infrastructure.
- Using automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access or collect data from the platform without permission.
- Violating any applicable local, national, or international laws or regulations.
VEVGO reserves the right to suspend or permanently ban accounts that violate these prohibitions.
5. Payments and Refunds
Payment for rides and deliveries is processed through the VEVGO platform using the payment method linked to your account. By making a booking, you authorize VEVGO to charge the applicable fare or fee.
- Fare Calculation: Fares are calculated based on distance, time, demand, and applicable service fees displayed before confirmation.
- Cancellations: Cancellation fees may apply if a ride or delivery is cancelled after a driver has been assigned, per our cancellation policy.
- Refunds: Refund requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Approved refunds are processed within 5-10 business days.
- Surge Pricing: During high-demand periods, fares may be higher than standard rates. You will be notified before confirming any booking.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, VEVGO Networks Company Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform or services.
VEVGO's total liability to you for any claim arising out of these terms or use of our services shall not exceed the amount paid by you to VEVGO in the 12 months preceding the claim.
VEVGO does not guarantee the availability, reliability, or quality of services provided by independent drivers and shall not be responsible for acts or omissions of independent contractors.
7. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nigeria.
8. Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute, we encourage you to first contact our support team at support@vevgonetworks.com to seek an informal resolution.
If informal resolution is not achieved within 30 days, either party may submit the dispute to binding arbitration administered under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act of Nigeria. The arbitration shall be conducted in English, and the arbitrator's decision shall be final and binding.
You waive the right to participate in class action lawsuits or class-wide arbitration.
9. Changes to Terms
VEVGO reserves the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or a prominent in-app notice at least 14 days before the changes take effect.
Your continued use of the platform after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. If you do not agree to the updated terms, you must stop using our services and may delete your account.
